Whitelisting is the use of anti-spam filtering software to allow only specified e-mail addresses to get through or only trusted apps to run on your device. Whitelisting allows only pre-approved applications to communicate outside of your device, or only emails from approved senders to show in your inbox, thus protecting you from phishing & spam.
